How Our Physicians Treat TBI

At Urban Wellness Group, we take a holistic approach to treating your TBI. Our physicians use a combination of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, massage, and acupuncture to solve the root of your injury.

The Fortius 420 is a high-power chamber offering up to 3 atmospheres of pressure. There are just two of these chambers in Oregon, and one can be found at our clinic in SE Portland.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for TBI

Recent studies have proven HBOT to be effective in treating traumatic brain injuries.

Our physicians use an FDA-approved steel hyperbaric chamber to treat TBI patients at pressures ranging from 1.3-3.0 ATA. These varying pressure levels help your body absorb more oxygen, a necessity when you’re healing from an injury.

Additionally, HBOT allows oxygen to infuse with many types of liquids your body needs to heal, including blood, plasma, and cerebral fluids. Through HBOT treatment, your body receives a boost in oxygen where it’s needed most, helping to treat the effects of your TBI.
